PRINCE2® Exams Preparation
Officially launched in October 1996, PRINCE2® is the method used for planning and managing projects in the public and private sectors. SPOCE ran the World’s first PRINCE2® course in January 1997 and holds APMG Accreditation Certificate number 001.
The PRINCE2 Practitioner Examination Preparation event provides an opportunity to apply learning of the PRINCE2 methodology to project scenarios. The scenarios used on this event are in the same format to those used in the APM Group Practitioner Exam. The Foundation Exam (1-hour, multiple choice) must be passed prior to attempting the Practitioner Exam. If you require the Foundation Exam, please view PRINCE2 Foundation courses. Alternatively if you are looking for PRINCE2 Exam only packs >>
The focus of this PRINCE2 Exams prep event is to apply previous learning of the method to sample PRINCE2 Practitioner style exam questions. No learning of 'new' PRINCE2 topics should be expected, rather an enhancement of your existing knowledge. An Approved Trainer will be on-hand to provide feedback and guidance on the work completed.
Who is the course designed for?
The PRINCE2 Exam Preparation Event is designed for anyone who has recently passed the PRINCE2 Foundation Exam and wishes to receive advice and guidance in preparation for taking the APM Group PRINCE2 Practitioner Examination. The event will help anyone who wishes to understand and appreciate how PRINCE2 is applied to a project. The event is not suitable for anyone wishing to learn or substantially revise the PRINCE2 Method. For revision of the PRINCE2 method, SPOCE recommends its PRINCE2 Passport e-Learning.
All Delegates attending the Exam Preparation Event must already have reached the standard of knowledge required and have passed the pre-requisite Foundation Examination.
What are the course objectives?
The key objectives of this PRINCE2 Exams Preparation event are to:
- Provide Delegates with an opportunity to review their individual preparation for the PRINCE2 Practitioner examination.
- Develop the delegate’s ability to apply the PRINCE2 Method appropriately through various project-based scenarios and associated objective tests.
- Receive advice and guidance from an APM Group Approved PRINCE2 Trainer.
- Discuss specific areas of PRINCE2 with an Approved Trainer and other attendees, and to devise exam strategies from the responses provided.
What is the course approach?
During the course, candidates will have an opportunity to try out the application of their existing PRINCE2 knowledge to a typical scenario and related objective style test questions.
It can be expected that this preparation event will improve the likelihood of passing the APMG Practitioner Exam. However, success in the exam requires some basic analytical skills under time pressure, and this event is not intended to provide anything other than a high-level appreciation of these important skills togather with useful exam strategy advice and guidance.
Due to the intense nature of this course, delegates should plan to commit approximately 1 hour each evening during the course for study and review.
What examinations are taken on the PRINCE2 Exam Prep course?
The PRINCE2 Practitioner Exam is 2½ hours, open book (PRINCE2® manual only) consisting of 9 scenario based objective test questions
If successful, to maintain the Practitioner Qualification it is required for candidates sit and pass a Re-Registration exam within 5 years of passing the original examination.
PRINCE2 Re-Registration Candidates
